Greg Hackney

Senior Principal and Director

Greg is a Geotechnical Engineer with over 26 years’ experience in the consulting engineering industry and a founding Director at EDG Consulting.  He is a Chartered Professional Engineer, a Registered Professional Engineer in Qld and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.  Greg obtained his BEng and MEngSci degrees at UNSW in 1995 and 2000 respectively.  In 2015, Greg, together with Ian Shipway and Garth Powell founded EDG Consulting. 

During his career, Greg has led teams from both technical and managerial perspectives, being involved in all manner of projects including dams, roads, slopes, bridges, ground treatments, buildings and deep excavations.
