EDG, in collaboration with our client @Hazell Bros, successfully delivered the remediation of six landslide sites along a 2.5 km stretch of Urliup Road, a key route connecting the communities of Bilambil and Dungay in northern NSW. Our comprehensive solutions addressed both upslope and downslope landslides, incorporating rockfall protection mesh, retaining walls, and soil nail walls to restore the road in challenging mountainous terrain. Additionally, EDG provided temporary excavation support designs to facilitate construction while maintaining public access to the road. This project is federally funded through the disaster recovery program, following the 2022 flood events.
