EDG is supporting the Southern Program Alliance with temporary works designs for grade separations on the Level Crossing Removal Project. We have provided working platform designs, temporary excavation stability assessments, temporary shafts and retaining wall designs, impact assessments for underground services and proof engineering services across the Carrum, Cheltenham and Mentone station, and Edithvale to Bonbeach areas.
We use a range of geotechnical modelling tools appropriate for the works, ranging from simple soil-structure interaction analysis for shallow sheet pile walls and closed form solutions for dewatering design to sophisticated 3D finite element models to reduce support requirements for deep excavations.
